Electronic Poker is a favored game that usually will be bet on in casinos around the globe, or in your house on your computer, through a web account. The game rules are absolutely simple and involve the player attempting to achieve the best combination of cards as you can in order to win money. In this respect it’s very similar as a regular game of poker, minus the interaction with competing players. Of course, methods employed during a physical game of poker, like bluffing, will be useless here.
The game of Electronic Poker begins when the gambler puts credits (either tokens, credit slips or money) into the video poker machine and pushes the play button. A five card hand will be "given out" on the video screen.
The Electronic Poker game also has hold buttons, and gamblers should now decide which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the player wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they want, from all to none.
After the gambler has selected which cards she would like to keep, they should press ‘draw’, which will mean that any fresh cards will be given out if desired. The hand is now finished, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands listed in the pay out schedule.
Typically, the lowest winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money getting larger for each and every better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It is obvious that the payment schedule can vary from game to game, so that discerning bettors are agile enough to pick the most money-making machine every time.
After the first round has finished, the player can either decide to continue on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that they may have won. Further, some versions of the game allow the gambler a chance to double their profits, in which instance a further game is played. There are also differences among individual games, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other differing characteristics to enhance playability.
