Electronic Poker is a beloved game that usually will be enjoyed in casinos all over the world, or alternatively at your house on your PC, through a web account. The rules are very simple and involve the player trying to get the highest combination of cards achievable in order to acquire cash. In this respect it’s much the same as a normal game of poker, apart from the involvement with competing players. Of course, tactics employed during a real-life game of poker, such as tricking, will be irrelevant here.
The game of Electronic Poker begins when the gambler puts credits (either tokens, tickets or money) into the video poker machine and presses the play button. A 5 card hand will be electronically ‘handed out’ on the video screen.
The Electronic Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and bettors should now decide which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the player wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they light up. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they want, from all to none.
After the player has selected which cards he or she wishes to keep, they should press ‘draw’, at which point any new cards will be needed they will be given out. The game is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands listed in the payout schedule.
Generally, the minimum succeeding hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money getting larger for each better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the payment schedule can range from machine to machine, so that skillful bettors are able to pick the most beneficial machine every time.
As soon as the first round has finished, the player can either choose to stay on in an attempt to increase their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any money that they may have won. Further, several versions of the game allow the gambler a chance to double their winnings, in which instance another round is played. There are also variations among specific machines, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying elements to enhance playability.
