Electronic Poker is a beloved game that can be enjoyed in casinos around the globe, or in your house on your computer, using an Internet connection. The rules are very straightforward and involve the player attempting to get the greatest mixture of cards possible in order to come away with money. In this respect it is much the same as a classic game of poker, apart from the involvement with any other players. Of course, methods employed during a physical game of poker, such as bluffing, will be useless in Video Poker.
The game of Electronic Poker starts when the bettor puts credits (whether it is tokens, tickets or cash) into the machine and presses the play button. A 5 card hand will then be "distributed" on the video screen.
The Electronic Poker game also has hold buttons, and enthusiasts will need to now decide which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the enthusiast wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they want, from all to none.
After the gambler has selected which cards he would like to retain, the player will then press ‘deal’, at which point any fresh cards are given out if desired. The hand is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands shown on the payout schedule.
Typically, the minimum succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money increasing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It definitely goes without saying that the pay out schedule can vary from machine to machine, so that experienced enthusiasts are able to choose the most beneficial ones every time.
Once the initial round has played out, the player can either choose to remain on in an attempt to increase their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any credits that they may have won. Further, some versions of the game give the gambler a chance to increase their winnings, in which situation another round is played. There are also differences between individual games, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other differing elements to enhance playability.
