Video Poker is a popular game that can be wagered on in casinos across the globe, or in your house on your computer, through a web account. The rules are absolutely simple and involve the player attempting to get the best combination of cards as you can in order to win money. In this respect it’s much the same as a regular game of poker, without the involvement with other players. The game of Electronic Poker starts when the player puts credits (either tokens, credit slips or money) into the video poker machine and pushes the play button. A hand of five cards will then be "distributed" on the screen.
The Electronic Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and gamblers should now choose which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the enthusiast would like to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they want, whether it’s all or none.
After the gambler has decided on which cards he or she would like to keep, they should press ‘deal’, at which point any new cards will be needed they will be handed out. The round is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the payout schedule.
Typically, the minimum succeeding hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money getting larger for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It goes without saying that the pay out schedule can vary from game to game, so that discerning players are agile enough to choose the most beneficial game each and every instance.
After the first round has played out, the player can either decide to continue on and try to to increase their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any money that has been won. Additionally, some styles of the game allow the enthusiast a chance to double their winnings, in which case a further game is played. There are also variations among specific machines, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other differing characteristics to enhance playability.
