Electronic Poker is a favored game that is able to be played in casinos across the world, or alternatively at home on your computer, using a web account. The game rules are absolutely straightforward and consist of the player attempting to achieve the highest combination of cards achievable in order to win money. In this respect it is much the same as a classic game of poker, without the involvement with any other players. Of course, methods used in a physical game of poker, such as tricking, will be irrelevant here.
The game of Video Poker starts when the player inserts credits (either tokens, credit slips or money) into the machine and presses the deal button. A 5 card hand will be "handed out" on the video screen.
The Electronic Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and players will need to now pick which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the bettor wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they want, whether it’s all or none.
After the gambler has selected which cards she wishes to keep, the player will then press ‘draw’, which will mean that any new cards will be needed they will be dealt. The game is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands shown on the payout schedule.
Normally, the minimum winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money growing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It is obvious that the payout schedule can range from game to game, so that experienced bettors are able to choose the most beneficial machine each and every time.
After the initial round has completed, the player can either choose to stay on and try to to increase their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any cash that they may have won. Further, a few versions of the game allow the bettor an opportunity to double their wins, in which case another hand is played. There are also variations among individual games, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other differing characteristics to enhance playability.
